About the Cosmetology Instructors Network Lesson Planning Course

Cosmetology Instructors Network is proud to present the Lesson Planning Course. The Lesson Planning Course is a project-based class focused on brain-based learning and student-engaging activities designed to build on the content of the Cosmetology Instructors Network Level 1 Course and assist participants in gaining mastery in the development and execution of a lesson plan. The course will address all three domains of learning and explore creative ways to present standards-based content while fostering connection and community with the learners. Participants will leave with a well-constructed lesson plan and objective map based on contemporary instructional design theories, differentiated instruction, multimodal teaching and learning strategies, and principles of outcomes-based education. Students will work in teams to select a topic from a list of options presented at the course and create their plan in a step-by-step sequence as each component is presented. Please note that this course is instructed in English only.
